Hey everyone!

So O-Week has come once again, AS@U are out with their free food & Giveaways each day this week! so far it has been pretty interesting. Monday was ‘SLOTH’ so the “Seven Deadly Sins Challenge” was to move down a slip and slide sort of thing and eat gross (and some not so gross) food and whoever got to the end first won, The prize was 2 tickets to the big sounds small town thing. Day 2 (today) was ‘GLUTTONY’ so the first challenge was to eat a plate of cold spaghetti the fastest without hands and the second challenge was who could get a whole pizza first. The same guy won both challenges (and I bet he got into the free breakfast before hand as well!) what a legend! He won some tickets to small town big sounds, a couple of goody bags, a voucher for powerhouse tattoos and I think a t-shirt as well? probably even more stuff, I don’t know but AS@U seem to be giving away heaps of cool things.

I also put up some photos from the Powhiri in our photo section on Facebook but they are terrible shots, I am not a good photographer at the best of times and to make things worse my camera was on some kind of weird setting and I didn’t know.

Welcome to the new year! this is the first post for 2010 because for far nothing interesting has happened so far. Yesterday was the open day for the Wairarapa UCOL Campus and it was awesome!

The weather was awesome as per usual in the Wairarapa which was great for us. We had free food (donuts, hotdogs, chips, SUSHI!, Pizza and AS@U even had chocolate!), a live band (Deaf Lemon) who were awesome and very energetic and there were even a couple of games to keep people going such as vertical bungee and some sort of throw the rugby ball through in the hole thing.

What allot of the people loved the most was having a couple of hurricanes players on site (people swooned) and the chance to win a signed jersey. I was live blogging from facebook throughout the day so there are a few extra pictures on the facebook page so make sure you are a fan already and check them out

What a perfect day (weather wise) to be at Wairarapa for a BBQ! Warm and sunny all day, AS@U was there pumping out the free food for the students and it was all good.. there was even chocolate so I was happy

I made sure I did a bit of stencil work while I was there as well. I had the chalk spray out and this time had bigger and stronger stencils made so they will last longer (although I ran out of spray) so if you are at Wairarapa UCOL look out for my artistic goodness! Anyway, I hope everyone has done well with their final exams and assignments and its time that everyone relaxed. Have a BBQ and a few drink, enjoy the nice weather while its around. If you want to see a few more snapshots from today CLICK HERE

Hello again last night I rocked up to the exhibition at UCOL’s block 2 in Palmerston North for all the first and second year BAVI, Diploma in photography and interior design students and it was pretty amazing! Last year when I was a second year BAVI student I can’t say we put that much effort in.. they put us to shame! the work displayed was pretty good and they even had a whole bunch of food (which they made themselves) so I was stoaked! (mainly because I hadn’t had dinner, free food is always good).

The room was packed as they gave out the awards, I would rattle off all the names and prizes but I can’t remember any of them and didn’t write it down.. I was serving drinks to thirsty guests instead

It was (well is, there are still people outside) the last tuesday lunchbox in Palmerston North today, lots of students getting a free feed and re-enroling for next year. There were giveaways, sushi, bbq and more.
